History: Jobe Smith was a rather...challenged...man who seemed to be perfectly content mowing a guy's lawn for the rest of his life and getting belittled by everyone. However, a nearby scientist is developing new virtual reality technology, and Jobe seems like the perfect candidate for testing. As it turns out, this makes him much smarter and fitter, but also gives him psychic powers. When the tech goes awry, Jobe turns into a raging sociopath with a taste for vengeance and a God complex, hoping to become pure energy as the next step in evolution.

Notable Kills: De-molecules some people, manipulates a lawnmower to mow someone over, "mows" a guy's mind.

Final Fate: Jobe can't bring himself to hurt his friend, and helps blow up the place he's in...after his energy escapes and spreads all around. The sequel has him brought back, but after the heroes keep him from taking over the digital world, he is reverted back to his old kindhearted simpleton self.

Powers/Abilities: Manipulation of reality and tech.

Weakness: People in Cyberspace and heavy artillery.

Scariness Factor: 4.5-The idea that a kindly idiot could be turned into an omnipotent psychic monster by a little bit of boosted intelligence is pretty awful. Even more so when you're rendered with nightmare-inducing primitive CGI.

Trivia: -This film was the first to feature a virtual sex scene. All you SFM porn artists have this film to thank for.

-Although this film was marketed for a while as a Stephen King adaptation, King only wrote a story with the same title and nothing else. He sued them for this.
